Crystal Bay Yacht Club
Crystal Bay Yacht Club Live Cam Live Cam

This camera looks out over the southern end of Crystal Bay, a small sheltered cove tucked between Lamai and Chaweng on the east coast of Koh Samui. The view takes in pale sand, tropical greenery at the edge of the frame and the shallow turquoise water of the Gulf of Thailand rolling in quietly all day and night.

Why Crystal Bay? Crystal Bay is one of the calmer corners of a famously busy island. Rocky headlands wrap around the cove, so the water stays clear and the surf stays gentle, and the beach rarely fills the way Chaweng does. It is a good place to understand why people keep returning to Samui long after the first visit.

Crystal Bay Yacht Club highlights: As you enjoy the live view, be sure to look out for:

  • Turquoise Shallows: The water over the sandy shelf shifts from pale green to deep blue as the sun moves across the sky through the day.
  • Boats Drifting Past: Longtail boats and small pleasure craft cross the mouth of the bay, sometimes anchoring just offshore in the calm water.
  • Sunset Light: Evening light around half past six turns the headlands gold before the bay settles into darkness and the sound of the waves.

Beyond the Bay: Lamai sits just north of here, with its long beach, night market and the well known Hin Ta and Hin Yai rock formations on the shoreline. Inland the island rises into jungle and waterfalls, while the ring road makes it easy to reach Chaweng, Bophut and the ferry piers on the north coast.

This view is shared by The Real Samui Webcam in partnership with Crystal Bay Yacht Club, who keep the camera running around the clock in high resolution. Streaming a beach this consistently takes real effort, and we are grateful they let armchair travellers everywhere share the outlook.

Tune in for a quiet look at the Gulf of Thailand, whether you are counting down to a trip or just want a calm cove on the screen for a while.
