Broad Street is one of the widest and best known streets in central Oxford, lined with college walls, bookshops and the honey coloured stone of the university's most photographed buildings. This camera, hosted by the Oxford Martin School, looks out over the daily rhythm of the street, where cyclists, students, tour groups and delivery vans all share the same stretch of pavement.

Why Broad Street? Few streets pack so much of a city into one view. The Sheldonian Theatre, the Bodleian Library, Blackwell's bookshop and the frontages of Balliol and Trinity colleges all sit within a short walk of one another here. Watching it live gives you a sense of Oxford as a working city rather than a set of postcard images.
