This camera looks out over the Atlantic City Boardwalk between Tennessee Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue, one of the busiest stretches of the most famous boardwalk in America. Strollers, rolling chairs, arcade lights and the Atlantic beyond all share the frame, with Steel Pier and Central Pier Arcade anchoring either side of the view.

Why Atlantic City? Few places pack so much into a single frame. The boardwalk here runs between casino towers and open sand, so you get the neon energy of the resorts and the plain rhythm of the ocean at the same time. It never really empties, which makes it a rewarding cam to leave open at any hour.

• Steel Pier Lights: At the top left, the rides and lights of Steel Pier stand out in front of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino after dark.
• Boardwalk Traffic: Watch walkers, joggers and rolling chairs move past Schiff's Central Pier Arcade on the tan building to the right of frame.
• Beach And Surf: Beyond the rail, the sand and Atlantic surf change completely with the tide, the season and the weather rolling in.

Beyond the Boardwalk: Behind the camera sit the casino hotels that made Atlantic City famous, including Resorts and Hard Rock, with LandShark Bar and Grill sitting right down on the sand. The Beach Patrol headquarters is visible in the blue building nearby, and the boardwalk continues for miles in both directions along the New Jersey shore.
